“My friend Naim” Toni Solà testimonial

My name is Toni Solà,

"My friend Naim" is a prodigy. In a short space of time, its director, José Luis López, manages to transmit to us an infinity of emotions through the innocent vision and devoid of prejudices of Alba.
This story, which captivates us from the minute 1, makes us reflect about a problem that, even though we have it close our eyes, we are often unable to see it. "My friend Naim" opens the door to the hope that by appealing to our inner child, the one we all have inside ourself, we can and must improve much as humans.

Toni Solà is a jazz saxophonist. For many years known as the saxo of Andreu Buenafuente, Toni Solà has interpreted jazz alongside the greatest of this genre as Scott Hamilton. Toni Solà has been awarded with the Enderrock 2016.

Y llegó el momento de ensamblar todas las piezas de nuestro puzzle / And it was time to assemble all the pieces of our puzzle

(ENGLISH)

Shooting sessions had been an exciting process, full of anecdotes, and unforeseen of course. We visited the rain, Iron Maiden and the blessed eggs.

The month of February was entering and the truth moment had arrived. Dump hours of footage and live audio. We had guaranteed fun. To remember so many moments during the filming. Select the best shoot, the best performance and start building our great puzzle.

The post-production team was eager to watch the footage.

After days of selection began the process of assembling the pieces of the puzzle so that the work could appear in all its splendor.

"My friend Naim"... The idea / "Mi amigo Naim"... La idea

(ENGLISH)

Do not ask me why, but my projects are always driven by some concern for the field of social justice. Caràkter Ciutadà, was born in 2008 from that concern. A platform with the main goal of making visible anonymous stories focused on subjects closely related to the human rights of people.

But someone dreamy, keep doing it again and again. It has no answer ;)

That morning in March 2016, like every morning, I was under the shower head. And my head, do not know yours, but when I'm under the shower my head likes a pressure cooker. Hundreds of news stories about the migratory waves were moving from neuron to neuron, until Alba was heard: Are you dumb, or what?
I turn off the water immediately and wrapped in my bathrobe called my friend Jesus Puchol. "Jesus, I'm going to prepare a short film about social issues ... Would you like to aim this adventure?" Before answering the question, I knew the answer. Jesus, an actor by profession, is one of those passionate people you can rely on to dream in group. "Yes, of course, come on, we sure have fun"
As always his answer was intelligent  ... I mean the part of the fun.
When you have been sailing for so many years in the uncertain waters of the artistic world, the premium is enjoyment, because it is what you take for granted. And this never fails.

- Hey, but what is the movie about?
- Shall we stay and tell you?
- When?
- Morning?
- OKAY

The next day we began the process of scriptwriting that would last about 1 month between the construction of characters, design of the plot of the movie and writing of the dialogues.

By the way, surely one of you is still wondering. And who is Alba? Sorry! Alba is the protagonist of the short film. An 8 year old girl that we have to locate and face.
But we knew that she was a girl born in Sant Boi de Llobregat, awake, intelligent, empathy, extroverted and very, very sensitive.
