While other children played ball and ran along the streets, Jose Luis Lopez was a child who liked to observe everything that happened inside and outside his world.
Drawing, coloring, painting, constructing and photographing, from time to time, with his father's "Werlisa Mat" camera, were part of the everyday doing that would somehow mark the rest of his career as an artist.
A degree in Fine Arts, a degree in audiovisual production and a Master's degree in marketing and communication, José Luis has developed his entire career as an advertising creative, audiovisual producer and press editor. And founded in 2008 the paper and online magazine CARAKTER CIUTADÀ.
Many years ago José Luis lay aside the brushes and the color palette, but these have accompanied in silent for the rest of his life. The lights, the cameras, the publicity and the publishing world have been able to fill the void all these years. But there is always something inside the artist people that keeps him expectant, attentive to the dictates of his heart.
Now with 52 years old José Luis jump to the big screen with his "Opera Prima" - My friend Naim - a short film that distills concerns and acquired experiences:
The antechamber to the film that awaits patient in the drawer of the soul.

Mientras otros niños jugaban a pelota y correteaban por las calles, José Luis López era un niño al que le gustaba observar todo aquello que sucedía dentro y fuera de su mundo.
Dibujar, colorear, pintar, construir y fotografiar con la Werlisa Mat, que de tanto en tanto, le dejaba utilizar su padre, formaron parte del hacer cotidiano que de alguna manera iba a marcar el resto de su carrera como artista.
Licenciado en Bellas Artes, diplomado en realización audiovisual y Master en marketing y comunicación, José Luis ha desarrollado toda su carrera como creativo publicitario, realizador audiovisual y redactor editorial, fundando en 2008 la redacción del magazine en papel y on-line CARAKTER CIUTADÀ.
José Luis abandonó hace muchos años los pinceles y la paleta de colores, pero éstos le han acompañado en silencio toda su vida. Las luces, las cámaras, la publicidad y el mundo editorial han sabido llenar el vacío todos estos años. Pero siempre hay algo dentro del artista que lo hace mantenerse en vilo, atento a los dictámenes de su corazón.
Ahora con 52 años José Luis da el salto a la gran pantalla con su "Opera Prima" -Mi amigo Naim- un cortometraje que destila inquietudes y experiencias adquiridas:
El antecesor a ese largometraje que aguarda paciente en el cajón del alma.

Y llegó el momento de ensamblar todas las piezas de nuestro puzzle / And it was time to assemble all the pieces of our puzzle

Shooting sessions had been an exciting process, full of anecdotes, and unforeseen of course. We visited the rain, Iron Maiden and the blessed eggs.
The month of February was entering and the truth moment had arrived. Dump hours of footage and live audio. We had guaranteed fun. To remember so many moments during the filming. Select the best shoot, the best performance and start building our great puzzle.
The post-production team was eager to watch the footage.
After days of selection began the process of assembling the pieces of the puzzle so that the work could appear in all its splendor.

El rodaje había sido un proceso apasionante, lleno de vicisitudes, anécdotas, e imprevistos por supuesto. Nos visitó la lluvia, Iron Maiden y los huevos venditos.
Entraba el mes de febrero y había llegado el momento de la verdad. Volcar horas de metraje y audio grabado en directo. Teníamos garantizada la diversión. Rememorar tantos y tantos momentos vividos durante el rodaje. Seleccionar el mejor plano, la mejor actuación y empezar a construir nuestro gran puzzle.
El equipo de postproducción estaba deseoso de visionar el material.
Después de días de selección empezaba el proceso de ensamblar las piezas del puzzle para que la obra pudiera lucir con todo su esplendor.

I va arribar el moment d'encaixar totes les peces del nostre puzle.
El rodatge havia estat un procés apassionant, ple de vicissituds, anècdotes, i imprevistos per descomptat. Ens va visitar la pluja, Iron Maiden i els maleïts ous.
A les portes del mes de febrer havia arribat el moment de la veritat. Abocar hores de metratge i àudio gravat en directe. Teníem garantida la diversió. Rememorar tants i tants moments viscuts durant el rodatge. Seleccionar el millor plànol, la millor actuació i començar a construir el nostre gran puzle.
L'equip de postproducció estava desitjós de visionar el material.
Després de dies de selecció començava el procés d'ecaixar les peces del puzle perquè l'obra pogués lluir amb tota la seva esplendor.
