It was 9 in the morning of any Sunday. Just on January 15, 2017. Some hours ago we wandered between spotlights and cameras. Transport, unloading, location, wiring, and a long etcetera that precedes the visible process of any shooting session.
Candela and Jesus Puchol gone to makeup, while in the set of filming carried out the latest tests of lighting and sound.
The moment of truth had come. All the work of months of preparation, training and adjustments could evolve into the future or fail on. Yes, it's easy to understand! In a shoot any insignificant detail: a misinterpretation, a mismatch of light or sound, a bad choice of photography may be enough to degenerate into a mediocre product.
As for me, as a director, I was very clear that this was not going to happen, and the rest of the crew thought the same.
At 23:30 we finished and successfully completed the first day of shooting of "My friend Naim". The smile on the tired faces of the actors and the production crew remained unmoved. We had overcome successfully the first stage and opened a new future for all of us.
What I was not so clear was if I was directing Alba in "My friend Naim" or "The girl of the Exorcist 3" in a subtitled version (just kidding !!). Candela was having a great time, look, look ... ;)

Eran las 9 de la mañana de un domingo cualquiera. Concrétamente el 15 de Enero de 2017. Algunos hacía ya unas horas que deambulábamos entre focos y cámaras. Transporte, descarga, ubicación, cableado, y un largo etcétera que antecede al proceso visible de cualquier rodaje.
Candela y Jesús Puchol entraban en maquillaje, mientras en el set de rodaje se efectuaban las últimas pruebas de iluminación y sonido.
Había llegado el momento de la verdad. Todo el trabajo de meses de preparación, entreno y ajustes podía evolucionar hacia el futuro o dar al traste. ¡Si, es así de sencillo! En un rodaje cualquier detallito insignificante: una mala interpretación, un desajuste de luz o sonido, una mala elección de fotografía puede ser suficiente para degenerar de un producto mediocre.
Por mi parte, como director, tenía muy claro que esto no iba a suceder, y el resto del equipo estaba conmigo.
Llegadas las 23,30 horas dábamos por finalizada y con éxito la primera de las jornadas de rodaje de “Mi amigo Naim”. La sonrisa, sobre las caras de cansancio de los actores y del equipo de producción continuaba inamovible. Habíamos superado con éxito la primera etapa y se abría un nuevo futuro para todos nosotros.
Lo que no tenía tan claro es si estaba dirigiendo a Alba en Mi amigo Naim o a la niña del exorcista 3 en versión subtitulada (es broma!!). Candela se lo estaba pasando en grande, mirad, mirad …. ;)
